This is my fourth week since jumping into Bitcoin full-time! I've made strides with sharing my visual notes, however, something keeps bugging me. Looking ahead, I want a less nebulous way to help Bitcoin adoption and had a lightbulb moment yesterday. What if I challenged myself to be the catalyst for a 'Bitcoin Interaction' every day for 100 days? Given the recent FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt), education in this space is necessary and I'd like to help individuals on their Bitcoin journey.
Why am I doing this?
I want to learn and help others learn to further Bitcoin adoption.
Who do I help?
A family member, a friend, a stranger, a business, literally anyone open to learn. It will definitely be easier to start with family and friends but I hope to help a couple of businesses along the way.
How do I go about this?
The easiest path would be to help them setup a wallet and send them their first Bitcoin/satoshi's.
Help them buy/earn/DCA Bitcoin
Help them sell/spend Bitcoin
Help them setup a hardware wallet
Help them setup a node
Of course, help them with relevant resources so they can continue to learn without my direct support
How do I measure this?
If Bitcoin adoption is the ultimate goal, Bitcoin needs to move. People need to earn, buy, sell or spend Bitcoin. If I am the catalyst or the driver for one of these events, it will be considered a 'Bitcoin Interaction.' In other words, Bitcoin needs to change addresses for these events to occur. To be clear, I do NOT plan on tracking addresses.
I will begin today March 21st and end the challenge after 100 days, June 29th.
The goal is to help educate/facilitate/drive 100 'Bitcoin Interactions' in 100 days.
How do I share progress?
I will post a daily update on Twitter (and will try Nostr). I'll share my weekly learnings through a Substack article.
Do I have a stretch goal?
Inspire at least one person to take on this challenge so we can effectively drive 200 'Bitcoin Interactions' in total.
Why will I be successful?
That’s the plan! I've spent the past decade selling technology and helping businesses adopt it. Roles include solutions engineer, consulant, account manager, etc. Having participated in the entire customer lifecycle of technology adoption, I want to apply these learnings to Bitcoin.
Questions, Thoughts, Feedback?
Feel free to reach out and share them. Always open to meeting other humans :)
